We have built our community development philosophy around a simple concept…changed people change society. There is a cyclical dynamic that plays out in every society on the planet. Society is shaped by influential people and then society influences and shapes people. Societal change occurs when the people who influence society are changed and restored back into the people they were created to be.

5 Keys to Community Development

As CPI seeks to establish strategic alliances with individuals and organizations in Haiti, we do so with a fundamental commitment to what we believe are 5 keys to community development:

1. Recognizing and developing leaders
2. Healthy, vibrant, multiplying local churches that love their communities and engage every area of society
3. Schools and Educational Programs for children and adults
4. Economic Training and Opportunities
5. Meeting basic physical needs (food, clothing, shelter, medical care)
